If the heat gets too intense, step into the cool of your villa. Sculpted from whitewashed natural stone, it’s a little like being inside a snow cave, and many of the house’s fixtures have been crafted from the same materials. The kitchen takes center stage, its countertops blending seamlessly into the white walls. An organic open-plan living and dining space invites you to gather on the sofa or at the table for relaxed meals or a cozy night watching DVDs and listening to music. Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected but if you prefer to switch off, there are plenty of books to choose from.
The living room integrates with the master bedroom via exposed brick archways, and links to an opulent bathroom with sunken bathtub and a natural stone shower. There's also a second separate en-suite bedroom overlooking the courtyard.
If you’re feeling adventurous, Megalochori is quite literally on your doorstep and is considered to be one of the most picturesque and historic villages on the island. Follow its winding cobbled streets to the square and enjoy a coffee under the shade of a tree while you watch the locals play cards or ‘tavli’ (backgammon). It’s a 2 minute drive to the nearest winery and 10 minutes to the beaches and lively Fira town.
